Legal Framework of the Navy's participation in the fight against illegal trafficking (DIEEEM10-2012)

The fight against illegal trafficking in persons, narcotics and weapons, requires on the one hand, the involvement of all agencies and national agencies with jurisdiction to do so, and secondly, international cooperation. When this struggle is carried out at sea, it is of particular complexity that requires the intervention of the Navy, especially when activities against trafficking will take place outside the territorial sea, because of the status and powers that the law of sea gives the warship in those marine areas.
