The territorial evolution of the Islamic State after its defeat in the Fertile Crescent (DIEEEM23-2016)

Against the constant attacks of a firm international community that looks itself victorious facing to barbarism of the terrorism, the group Islamic State has been forced to retreat his capabilities until the heart of the “cauldron of hostilities” expanding towards different parts of the globe. All of this, with the only aim of winning legitimacy and popularity, both of them needed when its last bastions would fall in Syria and Iraq.

From the icy lands of the Russian steppe, to the dangerous waters of the Indian Ocean infected by pirates, from the hottest deserts of North Africa, to the exotic jungles of Southeast Asia, there are no latitude, region, or nation, free of this unstoppable dispersion.
