The presidential elections of this year 2014 in Colombia have raised an outstanding interest all over the world, with a campaign focused around the peace process initiated between the Government and the guerrilla groups FARC and ELN. While Juan Manuel Santos (President of the Republic) was in favour of negotiations, the most important opposition candidate, Óscar Ivan Zuluaga, opted to harden the peace terms up to making it almost unfeasible.
