Analysis document: Spain for Peace in Central African Republic: Determined participation in EUFOR RCA

In Central African Republic, reprisals against civilians, clashes between anti balaka and Seleka groups worsen, and instability threatens the entire region. "We can´t be blind to this humanitarian disaster," said Spanish Minister of Defense Pedro Morenés in his appearance in the National Congress on 19th march. After receiving the approval of the vast majority of parliamentary groups, 85 Spanish people -60 militaries and 25 civil guards- will deployed in the capital Bangui, within the European mission EUFOR RCA. Chaos and violence continue drowning the Central African population, and only a bigger international effort may give some hope to this devastated country.
