Defined after the 2006 summer war between Israel and Hezbollah and currently used for explaining the tactics used by the Taliban, the Syirian opposition, the Islamic State in Iraq or the Russian forces in Ukraine, the concept of hybrid conflict has acquired a significan degree of popularity for defining the “new wars” of the 21st Century.
