Opinion document: Report on Progress toward Security and Stability in Afghanistan (October 2014)

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has issued the 14th edition of its "Report on Progress toward Security and Stability in Afghanistan" covering the period from April 1 to September 31, 2014. Since the first one published in June 2008, this report has provided the U.S. Congress semi-annual assessments with developments in Afghanistan´s security and the state of the International Coalition’s campaign. This IEEE´s paper summarizes and analyzes the major issues contained in the aforementioned DoD report.
