Central African Republic: A tough political process, an unavoidable international commitment.- Trinidad Deiros & Jesús Díez Alcalde

In the first quarter of this year, the improvement of safety, as well as signals of greater firmness by the international community with the armed groups, have managed to rekindle a political transition in the Central African Republic who was on a dead end. The unblocking of this process, which should culminate with the holding of a credible election, has enabled to date the Bangui Forum: a milestone for peace and the reconstruction of the failed Central African State. In addition, and with the support of the French Operation Sangaris, MINUSCA is already the greatest guarantor and responsible for the safety of Africans, after receiving the handover of Bangui from the hands of EUFOR RCA: a mission well recognized by the population, which now European gives the witness to another military advisory one (EUMAM UE). The front road is very complicated, but at least today the Central African population can have some hope.
