Central features of the Russian Antarctic program (DIEEEO45-2015)

The global warming, the disputes around the Arctic and the obsolescence signs of the Antarctic Treaty and its Medioambiental Protocol (ATS), specially due to the challenges posed by the PR China, India and other countries, are triggering a new debate on the geopolitical importance around Antarctica. It states that a key role there plays Russia, which features congruent interests with those of the Czarist´s and Bolshevik´s times.
