According to the most recent estimations, more than 250,000 boys and girls are involved, directly or indirectly, in armed conflicts. Although there are regular armies who still recruit minors, the increase of the use that non-state armed groups make of the children is particularly alarming. This document defines this phenomenon and tries to make the problem itself and its terrible consequences more visible.
