An examination of the root causes of post-Cold War conflict (DIEEEO30-2017)

The end of the Cold War and bloc politics took with the threat of a major conflict between states, but the space claimed by the armed violence in human relations has been filled by a new type of conflict. Their core nature, does not prevent their effects to replicate at the international level, which has changed its appearance deeply. Although its essence seems to remain political, new factors performs a new and more complex conflict. Such complexity requires the collaboration of multiple actors, both civilian and military, throughout the full range of conflict, but especially in the peacebuilding processes. Relations between these actors seek to maximize their effectiveness but those often tense due to divergence of approaches and objectives.
